My class ranged from Filipino =), thais, cambodian, korean, vietnamese, chinese, singaporeans, even russian and south african, myanmar etc. But because of this, we never ran out of things to ramble about. From learning how to say "i love you" in our own languages to learning how to speak English in different accents. Unknowingly, i started loving that tiny school at upp bukit timah road. Everyday, i looked forward on going to school checking to see if one of my classmates was going be late again or who was going crack a joke in class this time etc I learnt to get along with all sorts of people and developed a bubbly personality because of my peers who did not judge me in the way I spoke or the country which I came from.

In my 2nd and 3rd year, I became more familiar to the people in the school, from the receptionists at level 4 to Uncle Tim at the canteen or even the guard at M floor who said hi to me each morning and says bye at the end of the day. SFMS was the school where i truly felt accepted just as the way i am. The teachers were also very accomodating to me. Whenever i asked for assistance or extra classes, they would just pull out their schedules without any hesitance =) This is the kind of treatment which none of the other government schools would ever have.

Sfms taught me to work hard in my studies without compromising my life a teenager.

In essence, my experience in sfms may be considered as the best time of my life. It is where I found friendship in which neither distance nor time will break, teachers who inspired me to work hard in everything I do and never failed to believe in my talents and abilities even if I had already given up myself. SFMS's corridors and classrooms hold my precious memories. Thank you sfms for making me the person that i am today =)

Happy Birthday!

Calista Haripin (4C1 2009)

My stay in SFMS has been one of the most memorable days of my student life.
I am very thankful for the oppurtunity to study there..SFMS helped me to pursue my dream...
I will always remember SFMS and especially 3c1 08 because 3c1 08 students were like my family when I was in SFMS and Ms Kamali was like a mother-figure to me....
thanks, SFMS, for everything....all the best !!!!

Congratulations!!

Khuc Doan Chau Quyen (4C1 2009)

Being there in St Francis is really an important turning-point of my life! From a girl staying under the protection of the family, I, for the first time, went out on my own to a completely different world from what I had known and imagined. It was eye-opening. I found myself trembling from both excitement and fear. Thankfully, St Francis gave me a home far away from home. Over there, I shared a family with people from different countries, different cutural backgrounds, using different languages yet we were strangely united and understood each other. We were gradually getting closer despite speaking with broken english and in turn, learning phrases in other languages. I also found it easier to be myself over there. I shared dreams with friends who were always there for me, I befriended with teachers who refused to give up on their students, the canteen aunty who knew right away what I was about to order before I did, the security guard noticed I didn't come to school and asked me if I was fine the day after. Even the library lady gave me candies everytime I went. It was then that I knew I was exactly where I was supposed to be, St Francis - where indivisual matters. I feel thankful for the time spending there. Have a wonderful celebration!

Happy Birthday!

Kit Novanata (4C3 2009)

I met the 3C1 class in 2008 - That was when we were known as The annoying class full of kids and that fat kid who would not keep quiet in 2A. It was a fun year, made new friends and met Sarah who apparently also came from SAS and a cherished (and probably one of my most annoying friends HHEHEHE) friend to this day! Then 3C1 came knocking at the door, ... See morewhere I met probably the most amazing class ever! Full of spirit and joy, never a dull moment! That's when I met Ms. Joanna who I am convinced, hates me for playing PSP while she was relieving for one of our classes. Then MOMMY (Mrs. Kamali) who has been an inspiration to everyone of us in the 3C1 family. A year later, w were split into 4C1s 4C2s and 4C3s and 4C4s. Then came Prom Nite where I gave the performance of my life! It was epic...The screaming support from the crowd only added fuel to my tank and I once again thank you all for the support. Of course, I will always miss this school, reason being because it was like my second family. Sure we were all different ages, different backgrounds and different pasts. However, we had one thing in common. We are humans. As social creatures it was inevitable that everyone of us would forever forge a link so monstrously strong that not even Wolverine's indestructible claw could slice it. That bond will forever last and shine to the everlasting institute that is known as St. Francis Methodist School. Thank you for such a meaningful experience.
